As you could have read on the front page, I'm a nature photographer based in the south of the Netherlands. I see myself as a nature photographer because I don't like to be pigeonholed in a certain area of photography. My work range from wildlife, landscapes to macro photography. Most important for me is that an image transfer a certain feeling to the viewer and in what way or with what equipment that image is captured is really not that important. The end result is all that matters.

For me photography is a way to find the rest and peace that I can't find in today's world. There are very few words that can describe the feeling when you're standing all alone in the middle of nature, early in the morning. The silence of dawn, the sound of nature awakening, the start of a brand new day when the first light is dancing on the land. If I could only share a little of that unique feeling through my photography, then I've
succeeded in my purpose.

All my photographs of animals are taken from animals living in the wild. In my opinion all non-domestic animals should live in freedom so I don't work with captives or animals living in a controlled environment.
